Join us for a free event celebrating the launch of See me through clay and International Day of People with Disability
Presented by Araluen, See Me Through Clay is a new ceramic exhibition celebrating creativity, expression, and achievement. Featuring a diverse collection of works by artists exploring the possibilities of clay, the exhibition showcases the power of art to connect and inspire.
Through its Art Connects program, Araluen champions artists with disability, supporting their creative aspirations and enabling meaningful engagement with the wider community. By exhibiting in mainstream forums, artists gain visibility, recognition, and income – affirming their talent and contribution.
Join us for a morning tea launch, where on the eve of International Day of People (IDPwD) with Disability, we’ll reflect on the powerful role of art in fostering connection, inclusion, achievement, and self-expression.
This event is a strong statement of ability and inclusion that embodies the importance of this year’s IDPwD theme: fostering disability-inclusive societies for advancing social progress. Araluen thanks Nillumbik Shire Council for supporting our launch through funding to celebrate IDPwD.
