Open Forums

Araluen holds regular meetings that all members of our community are welcome to attend. Widespread inclusion and involvement helps us deliver the high quality of service that we all want for Araluen’s participants. These meetings are a good opportunity to learn what’s happening, ask questions and give feedback. Details are listed in the events calendar above or subscribe to our mailing list to receive our newsletter.

Family Carers Network

The Family Carers Network is an advisory committee to the Araluen Board. Members channel information between parents/carers and the Board. Attending these meetings gives you the chance to hear about what’s being planned to better support participants and to comment on service delivery issues.

Art Coordinator
3 days per week

Araluen’s Art Connects support is well respected, high achieving and thriving. We have a rare opportunity for a talented and dynamic Art Coordinator who can further the aspirations of 100 passionate artists who want to make an impact in the mainstream art industry. In this role, you will use your artistic talent in to the studio to help people realise their own creative vision and your organisational and networking skills to develop exhibition opportunities and drives sales and recognition for the artists.

Media Instructor
Casual Role

Tiger Studio is a purpose-built, community-funded multimedia facility created to give Araluen participants the capacity to tell their own stories and develop new creative talents across various digital mediums. We are looking for a technically skilled social media storyteller who can connect with our participants to co-develop and produce engaging, authentic and original digital output. This position will give a talented person with a killer eye the opportunity to influence the creative direction of this new support and to ensure that Araluen’s participants develop a social media presence which makes them visible and heard. This position is based at Araluen Diamond Creek.

Administrative Support (Design, Marketing & Communication)
One day per week

This position is located at Lower Plenty and in conjunction with being responsible for supporting the Design, Marketing and Communication Manager in the production of communications relating to Araluen’s delivery of its strategic vision, the position will also be doing some administration work in Reception. This position builds Araluen’s capacity to engage stakeholders, attract new participants and increase awareness of the brand in the community at large.
