50 years ago, Araluen Lower Plenty began with a bold vision based on determination and compassion. Our founders, a group of parents, were driven to create a unique, safe place where their children could have a life of belonging and achievement. So, a home-grown service that started from a humble suburban backyard put down roots with the opening of Araluen House (now Fraser House) and the Araluen Sheltered Workshop (now Orana), officially opening on November 24, 1974.
