So far, our fabulous community has donated about 8,000 quality preloved items. Thank you! But it’s not all about the books. This year, we’re adding some new features.

• Art Connects excess stock sale
  Attention: art lovers. We’re including an Art Connects excess stock sale. This is your chance to buy an original, unique and stunning framed artwork by an artist participating in Araluen’s Art Connects program at a bargain price. We rarely offer discounts – so don’t miss out!
• Chancez Cafe pop up
  Keep up the energy as you browse and enjoy a freshly brewed coffee and a tasty home baked sweet or savoury treat.
• Sausage sizzle
• Raffle

Come on down – there’s something for everyone. And it’s a great opportunity to come together to support a cause that matters to us all – supporting people to have connected, fulfilling and more independent lives.

To make our preloved book sale a huge success, we need your support. Please donate your resaleable preloved books, CDs, DVDs and jigsaw puzzles.

Donations can be dropped at:

• Araluen Rosanna (2–6 Turnham Ave) on Saturday mornings, 9am–12pm (6, 13, 20, 27 September & 4 October)
• Lower Plenty admin office (weekday drop-offs, 9am–4pm)

Please note: we cannot accept travel guides older than 2022, encyclopedias, or items outside of books, puzzles, CDs & DVDs – as we must pay to dispose of them.

• Sorting books prior to the event
• Helping to collect book/puzzle/CD donations at our drop off locations leading up to the event
• Event setup
• Sales & customer service

The Araluen preloved book sale – and all the fun that comes with it – is our biggest fundraiser for 2025.

That’s why this event is so important. It’s not just about books – it’s about our community coming together to make a real difference. At a time when Araluen, like most NDIS providers, must work harder than ever to maintain the quality and sustainability of services, your support is more vital than ever. Every product or cash donation, sale, raffle prize, and volunteer hour help Araluen keep providing the support people need to live the lives they choose. There’s plenty to do, from sorting books, set up and pack up, customer service, dropping leaflets, cooking sausages – just to start with. If you have time, we can put it to great use!

The Araluen Preloved Book Sale will run for two full days on the weekend of 11 & 12 October.

Thousands of high-quality books for all ages and interests will be up for grabs, covering every genre you can imagine plus puzzles, DVDs, and CDs.

The best bit – we keep prices reasonable – so this really is your chance to bag some bargains!

Plus, we’re working on some new inclusions, to make the event bigger and better – stay tuned!
