National Disability Insurance Scheme
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) can provide funding for people with disabilities to pay for supports and services needed (that are reasonable and necessary) with greater choice and control.
Araluen is a registered NDIS Service Provider and commenced roll-out of the scheme in July 2016.
How Araluen can help you through the NDIS funding process
We can provide the services included in your plan after funding is received (providing you have a Service Agreement with Araluen).
We offer Support Coordination to provide information on finding services and supports, link you to those that meet your needs and empower you to access them.

Once you have NDIS Support Coordination funding, Araluen can help you find and buy the supports and services that are listed in your plan. Hence, Support Coordination can help you connect to community activities for recreational purposes and put you in touch with services that can help you learn skills to increase your social and economic participation.
Support Coordination is a time-limited individual service. If you choose Araluen to provide Support Coordination, we will work with you to understand your goals and needs then link you with the services that are a match.
Facts About Support Coordination
You must have funding for Support Coordination Services approved in your NDIS plan to use this service.
You do not have to be using any of Araluen’s own support services or programs to use our Support Coordination Service.
Araluen Support Coordination can help you explore and understand a wide range of options so you find the right services for you. Araluen’s Support Coordination staff all have experience working with people with disabilities, including complex and multiple disabilities. So they understand what people need to achieve their goals and know what to look for in a service to ensure that you receive quality, safety and reliability. Araluen is registered to provide Support Coordination Services under the NDIS.
